Terms of service
Last updated: May 31, 2026
These terms govern your use of Rankly, operated by Franck Ratier, based in Romania. By using Rankly — through our website, web app, or mobile apps for iOS and Android — you agree to these terms.
What Rankly is
Rankly is an office game ranking platform. It lets you track matches, maintain leaderboards, run tournaments, and compete with colleagues across sports like ping pong, foosball, darts, and more. It's designed for workplace use. Rankly is available as a website, web app, and native apps for iOS and Android.
Mobile app stores
If you install Rankly from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you also agree to the relevant store's terms of use:
- iOS — Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these terms
- Android — Google Play's Terms of Service apply in addition to these terms
The app store is solely responsible for your installation, payment processing (if any), and refunds. We are responsible for support, content, and operation of Rankly itself.
Accounts
- You need a valid email address to create an account
- One account per person — don't create multiple accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Rankly
- You're responsible for the activity on your account
- Site administrators are responsible for managing their site's players and settings
Beta / Early access
Rankly is currently in beta. All features are free during this period, with no time limit. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before introducing paid plans. If paid plans are introduced, you'll be able to choose whether to subscribe or stop using the service — no automatic charges.
Cancellation and data
- You can stop using Rankly at any time
- Sites that remain inactive for an extended period may be frozen (data preserved, service inactive)
- You can request account deletion at any time — see our account deletion page for instructions
Acceptable use
Use Rankly for its intended purpose — tracking office games and competitions. Don't:
- Log fake match results or manipulate rankings
- Create accounts for people without their knowledge
- Use the service for anything illegal or harmful
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Intellectual property
Rankly, including its design, code, and brand, is the property of Franck Ratier. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the service.
Your data (match results, profile information) remains yours. We don't claim ownership over your content.
Availability and support
We aim to keep Rankly running smoothly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages from time to time.
For support, email support@rankly.games.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Rankly is provided "as is" without warranties, express or implied
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service
- During the beta period, our liability is limited to zero as the service is provided free of charge
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Rankly after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Romania. This does not affect your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law or GDPR.
